If you are visiting Capital in Buenos Aires and you want to have something to eat and drink quickly we recommend you to go to Álvarez, a traditional beer shop that count with a store in the heart of Caballito. You can find it in Avenue Goyena 199.

In a more relaxed climax, Álvarez offers a big variety of fast food like hamburgers, chicken fingers, fries and the classic American ribs. We ordered two delicious sandwiches: the first one, pork with mustard, basil, egg and cheddar, and the other one, chicken breaded in cereals with lettuce, tomato, onion and a tasty mayonnaise sauce. Both of them were accompanied with fries.

The place offers you a big variety of drinks, most of them native of Argentina, like the classic fernet with Coke. But the big hit of Álvarez are the beers. They are presented in different types of glasses depending in which kind of beer you want to drink. We can find from a sweet blonde to a citric black. We drank a Belgian Strong (known for being a very strong blonde beer) and an Amber Ale (a reddish beer with taste of strawberry daiquiri… SPECTACULAR!). We recommend both of them, but if you have a more classic taste, there are likes for everyone.

The place has the objective of catch tourists thanks to the zone where is located. It calls more the attention because is part of the boom of beer shops in Argentina, and mostly, in Buenos Aires.

Although is a new franchise in this item, Álvarez is in the top five of the bests beer shops in Capital Federal, that draws attention in local neighbors and tourists.

It opens every day of the week from 17 to 2 o clock in the morning.
